Now that you know what HomeLink® is, you’re probably wondering, “What’s so special about HomeLink®?” With HomeLink®, you can take advantage of the following benefits:

• Ease of Use: You can connect your vehicle to your home with the push of a few buttons.
• Compatibility: HomeLink® can be used with nearly all garage door openers and gate systems. It also works with a variety of other radio-frequency (RF) controlled devices.
• Control Up to 3 Devices: Using the HomeLink® system, which is seamlessly integrated into your Chevy’s interior, you can control up to three devices.
• Safety & Security: HomeLink® can let you know if your garage door has been left open. You can also use the remote control function for the lights, security system, and more, giving you even more peace of mind.
• Battery-Free: HomeLink® runs seamlessly on your Chevy’s electric system.

How Do I Program HomeLink®?

If you follow the instructions below, you’ll likely find that programming HomeLink® is simple and fast:

1. HomeLink® comes with three buttons located on the ceiling of the car above the rearview mirror. To program, press and hold the first and third buttons until the car’s ceiling lights start flashing. Usually, this takes around 20 seconds. Pressing the first and third buttons is the master reset, so you don’t need to do this when adding another device.
2. When the ceiling lights start flashing, press and hold the button you want to program while also holding the open/close button on your garage door opener. At this point, the ceiling lights should start flashing more rapidly, which means programming is finished.
3. Step into your garage and press the “learn” button on the garage door opener.
4. Get back in your car and press the button you just programmed for a couple of seconds. The lights on your garage door opener may start flashing, which means it has connected to your HomeLink® system.
